1.Quitting Now, by quitting I don’t just mean really QUITTING!! Even though you never, ever want to do that. Right? The type of quitting I am talking about is when you work for two days and then you quit for two days. Then you decide to work for a week and then you stop for four days. You keep quitting on yourself and your business in short spurts.This makes building a good business difficult to impossible and is very frustrating.So stop quitting on yourself over and over again.
2.Know everything before you start building your business
This is also something you don’t want to do. I have seen many people tell me this and they study and train and they still never do anything in their business and never feel like they know enough.You must be careful because this can be an excuse because of fear of actually talking to another human. If you are new I would suggest to reach out to someone and borrow from their strength and experience while you are learning.
3.Explaining vs. Inviting This is a big one. Just remember this is a skill and no matter how good you are at inviting you can always develop your skill and get better. When first starting out , you might get asked the question “what is it?” You will be tempted to explain instead of invite.
Don’t Do It
Just remember you are just inviting. What helped me at first was to look up the definitions of both words and after reading the definitions I would always think of that during the process and it would help me invite when it was time to invite.
4.No Product Story You have to use your product and build a story around your company and product. If you don’t absolutely love your product and use it you will have a lot of trouble getting other people to look at your product and build a successful business. If you are not using your product or love it I would suggest that you might be in the wrong company so go out and find something you love and are passionate about and you will build a business around it.
5.Do It Alone I always try to build with others and build with team. I am not saying it is impossible to build alone but at some point to build a big business you must build with others so the sooner the better. I find with my team and new reps they always have better results when we do things together versus when they try to build alone. So if you want things to go slow and take the long road up then work by yourself!! If not, Find someone to help you and don’t try to do it alone!!!
